Widespread rain leading to traffic problems, including spinouts, stalls and car fire

Here's what is happening on the roadways.

ATLANTA — Widespread rain across metro Atlanta is causing some problems on the roadways Tuesday morning.

Here are the traffic incidents you should be aware of.

Major delays, all weather-related, across the top end and on Georgia 400 in both directions through Sandy Springs.

A crash is causing delays into Midtown right before Interstate 85 southbound and Interstate 75 northbound.

A crash leaves only the far left shoulder open Interstate-75 southbound right before Chastain Road, causes major delays from Acworth. We suggest using Hwy 41/Cobb Pkwy as an alternate.

A car fire on Interstate 75 north just past Cleveland Avenue is causing major delays for morning commuters and has lanes blocked as crews work the situation. Heavy black smoke could be seen in the area.

A crash on I-75 northbound past Mount Zion Boulevard is causing delays into Morrow.

Traffic is building on I-285 northbound near Covington Highway as crews work to clear a stall. Both sides of Interstate 285 in DeKalb County remain jammed.

Expect delays and poor conditions on I-75 northbound past Highway 5 through Marietta following a spinout. Lanes were previously blocked.

It's not just the interstates. The surface streets are soaked and dangerous with this wreck on 14th Street at Techwood Drive.
