Delta adds new service to Hilton Head from Atlanta, LaGuardia

The new service to one of the Southeast's most popular golf and beach destinations starts in the spring.

Delta Air Lines will offer flights from Atlanta to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, starting this spring.

Daily flights kick off on May 23. In addition, seasonal service to Hilton Head from New York's LaGuardia Airport will start on June 8.

The new service will provide connections to one of the Southeast's premier golf and beach destinations for travelers from around the United States.

"As the leading carrier in the Southeast, Delta will be bringing its award-winning customer service to Hilton Head," said Joe Esposito, Delta's senior vice president of network planning.  "The new flights to Atlanta, the industry's leading airline hub, as well as the New York flight, will connect Hilton Head to the world."

Delta's Hilton Head service from both Atlanta and LaGuardia will be on 69-seat Embraer 170 aircraft with seating for nine passengers in First Class, 20 in Delta's Comfort-Plus and 40 in the main cabin.

The carrier will fly three daily round-trips from Atlanta and one Saturday round-trip during the summer months from New York-LaGuardia.
