Thanksgiving travel expected to be rough on Sunday

Foggy start in Southeast, snowy day across the Midwest to cause major delays

The Sunday following Thanksgiving is traditionally the busiest travel day of the year, and this year is shaping up not to be an exception.

Mother Nature is appearing to want to add her own wrinkle to the mix with foggy skies in the Southeast and blizzard conditions in the Midwest.

Airlines are waiving change fees for the post-Thanksgiving rush as a result of the severe weather conditions, which are expected to cause major delays and cancellations rippling across the nation on Sunday and into Monday.

The details will vary from carrier to carrier, but with the vast majority of airlines having a major presence at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, any major change across the nation will affect conditions here.
