How to prepare for severe weather
1. Have a way to get warnings: (Get a weather radio and download the 11Alive app). Don't rely on weather sirens.
2. Designate listener at church: Have someone who can listen for warnings during Sunday morning church service.
3. Know where to go: If your home has a basement, go there during dangerous weather. If you don't have one, find a place in the lowest and most central part of your home. Put as many walls between you and the outside as possible. Stay away from windows.
4. Have a drill: Having a plan is the first step. Practicing it is the next one. Be sure your family knows what to do and have a drill if possible.
