Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Newton, Jasper counties

Here's the latest information.

ATLANTA — Another round of afternoon storms are developing over metro Atlanta this afternoon, some of which are triggering severe thunderstorm warnings. 

The 11Alive StormTrackers are monitoring the systems as they develop and will provide updates.

UPDATES:

7:09 p.m. - The severe thunderstorm warning has expired for Newton and Jasper counties.

6:49 p.m. - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Jasper and Newton counties until 7:15 p.m.  

4:29 p.m. - The severe thunderstorm warning has expired.

4:00 p.m. - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Cherokee and Fulton counties until 4:30 p.m. Hazards with the storm include wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to an inch.

Cities impacted include Canton, Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, Woodstock, Holly Springs and others.
