Discussion:
It was a beautiful and breezy afternoon across north Georgia as temperatures rose into the 60s for highs under a sunny sky.
The only downside with beautiful days like this for this time of year is we may have a spike in pollen levels. We had that for Thursday as pollen counts returned to extremely high after our brief break yesterday.
For tonight, the clear sky continues with temperatures dropping down to the 40s, but 30s into far north Georgia. Some of the higher elevations in far north Georgia may end up with frost tonight, so be sure to protect any sensitive vegetation.
Friday brings another dry day with a sunny sky overhead as temperatures rise into the 70s for highs.
We continue the warming trend for Saturday and Sunday with lows in the 40s to 50s and highs in the 70s under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky, making for a great holiday weekend.
For Monday and Tuesday, a slight chance for rain returns to the forecast with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s to 80s under a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky each day.
On Wednesday, rain chances ramp up again as another front moves through bringing scattered showers and storms. Lows will be in the 50s and highs in the 60s under a cloudy sky.
Drier conditions return for Thursday with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s under a mostly sunny sky.
