Discussion:
A cool start to the week, and we're in for another chilly night. As the sun sets, temperatures will drop quickly.
Lows will be in the low to mid 40s in the Atlanta metro, and some spots outside city limits will fall into the 30s. You'll certainly want a jacket for kids at the bus stop or for the early morning dog walk.
After our chilly start Tuesday, sunshine and a southwest wind help kick in a warming trend. Mid 60s by lunch then into the 70s for the afternoon. This will be closer to our average high of 75° this time of year.
Rain chances are not impressive this week. We will introduce a 20% chance for some showers Wednesday afternoon and evening as a cold front pushes across the area. Rain will not be widespread, and we don't anticipate any risk for severe weather.
Isolated showers are then possible again Friday through the weekend as temps warm back into the upper 70s and low 80s.
