Discussion:
We started off our Friday with a few showers and storms, but it has been drier this afternoon. Still, a few showers a storms could be possible late today with some of those lingering into this evening.
The coverage of this evening's rain will not be widespread, but anything that develops could be locally intense with heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds. We do have a Level 1, marginal threat of severe weather for the north Georgia area.
Drier conditions move in for Saturday with lows in the 60s and highs near 80° under a partly to mostly cloudy sky.
Unfortunately, we won't stay dry all weekend with rain chances ramping back up on Sunday as lows sit in the 50s and highs in the 60s. Much of the day will be very cool with thick clouds and scattered to widespread showers.
There won't be anything severe Sunday, but the rain will be disruptive coming down from light to moderate at times.
Sunday will be the highest chance for rain this week with drier conditions moving in for Monday.
Sunday will also be the coolest day with lows in the 50s and highs in the 60s.
We remain cool for Monday with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s as cloud cover decreases throughout the day.
Tuesday through Thursday brings a mostly sunny sky each day with lows in the 40s and 50s and then highs back into the 70s under a mostly sunny sky.
Friday brings a bit more cloud cover back with a partly cloudy sky as lows sit in the 50s and highs back near 80.
Expect less than an inch of rain the next seven days with nearly all of that occurring on Sunday.
