Expect another drizzly day of weather with a cool air wedge in place. That means temperatures may be quick to warm with highs ranging from the 50s in the mountains, near 60 in Atlanta, to the 70s in central Georgia.
Far north Georgia will find pretty good coverage of showers where an inch of rainfall is possible. The flood watch has been extended for this area.
Tonight, our attention turns to northwest Georgia as a line of showers and storms moves through. Damaging wind gusts and brief tornadoes are possible in this area. The line looks to approach the state just before midnight, then moving through Atlanta after midnight. The severe weather threats drops as the line weakens and approaches Atlanta.
Clouds will be around for the start of Sunday but sunshine should work in by the afternoon with temperatures warming into the 60s for highs
Finally, dry weather Monday-Wednesday with temperatures near our just above average...in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Slight chances of rain return late next week, only 30% chances of rain.
