We are tracking a cold front as it moves closer to the area. The front will bring the threat for thunderstorms. Some of which, could be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has placed a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather. Damaging winds and hail are the major concerns. The tornado threat is low, but we can not rule out a brief tornado.
The rain will develop in the around noon today. We are expecting thunderstorms to push in after 5pm. There is an 80% chance for the rain. Highs will be in the upper 60s.
We will catch a break from the rain once the cold front moves through. The clouds will remain in place and a chance for rain will return on Tuesday. Look for a 30% chance for rain and highs in the 50s.
We will remain dry for the rest of the week as temperature gradually warm up.
