Here's your forecast for the weekend, Christmas

Here's a timeline of the possible conditions.

11Alive Storm Trackers are watching the weather as temperatures are expected dip Friday night.

During the overnight hours into Saturday morning, some parts of Northern Georgia could experience some winter weather. Here's a timeline of the possible conditions leading up to Christmas.

SATURDAY

By Saturday morning, some of the highest elevations in far North Georgia could see some winter weather. A winter weather advisory has been issued for some counties. 

Fannin, Union, Rabun, and other counties in the north could see temperatures drop below freezing. There could be ice on the ground and there's also a chance for snow.

Closer to Atlanta, temperatures will most likely be above freezing. By afternoon, things should warm up a bit, to the upper 40s

SUNDAY

There's still a slight possibility for rain on Sunday. The forecast right now shows a 20 percent chance. Showers could continue throughout the day and overnight.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Temperatures should reach the mid-50s Monday with sunshine.

CHRISTMAS 

The day will start off cold with temperatures in the 30s but things will warm up as temperatures  reach the 50s. There is also a chance for rain.
