Arthur Blank donating $500K toward Hurricane Dorian relief efforts

The money is going to two organizations, World Central Kitchen and Direct Relief.

ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United team owner Arthur Blank is donating $500,000 toward Hurricane Dorian disaster relief, his foundation announced Thursday.

The money is going to two organizations, World Central Kitchen and Direct Relief, which will provide "immediate disaster relief and long-term assistance," they said on social media.

World Central Kitchen provides freshly made and nutritious meals to survivors quickly and effectively. Direct Relief is delivering needed medical aid and outreach to remote areas of the islands, reaching and serving more vulnerable residents, according to the foundation's Facebook post.

Perry, who is no stranger to helping out people during hard times, wrote he will do his part to help rebuild the Bahamas. Ludacris said $100,000 in proceeds from LudaDay Weekend will go to charities helping the island.
