Tornadoes, flooding reported as Fred moved through Georgia

Here's the latest.

ATLANTA — Fred made landfall Monday afternoon in Florida as a tropical storm and its remnants made its way through north Georgia on Tuesday. Fred brought heavy rain to the area.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for North Georgia until Wednesday morning.

Here are the latest updates:

10 20 p.m. | The National Weather Service is expected to conduct preliminary storm surveys for some areas on Wednesday. Teams will visit Banks County near Homer, Madison County near Danielsville, Greene County, Morgan County, and Sumter County in Americus.

The storms in Meriwether County and Banks County were already labeled as "radar confirmed". 

7 p.m. | 11Alive's Chris Holcomb tweeted that Atlanta had record rainfall today. There was almost three inches of rain since midnight.

5:20 p.m. | The sun is shining again after the rain. 

2:35 p.m.  Tornado warning in effect for Macon and Rabun counties until 3:15 p.m.

12:15 p.m. | Flash flood warning issued for Hall, Lumpkin, Towns, Union and White counties until 6:15 p.m. 

11:50 a.m. | A tornado warning is in effect for Stephens, Rabun, Habersham and  Oconee until 12:30 p.m. 

11:10 a.m. | Reports of a damage along Payne Road in Banks County, including a possible barn fire. Also reports of a mobile home damaged  along Bennett Road. We have a crew headed to the scene. 

11 a.m. | The tornado warning for Banks County has expired, 15 minutes before they initially thought. 

10:38 a.m. | Tornado warning issued for Habersham County until 11:15 a.m. The National Weather Service says this is a radar-confirmed tornado. 

10:30 a.m. | Flash flood warning issued for Banks, Hall, Jackson and Madison counties until 4:30 p.m. 

10:27 a.m. | A tornado warning has been issued for Banks County until 11:15 a.m.

10:25 a.m. | An Oak tree fell across Iverson Street in the Candler Park area. A neighbor tells 11Alive the tree “really thread the needle” because it didn’t hit either the two houses next to it. The tree also down down several power lines, ruptured a gas line and sent a branch right through the window of the house across the street. 

10:20 a.m. | Several counties are out of the tornado watch previously issued by the National Weather Service. Here's the latest map.

8:45 a.m. | The I-285 eastbound ramp to Buford Highway is blocked due to flooding. 

8:45 a.m. | The tornado warnings in Morgan, Oconee and Walton counties have expired early.

8:42 a.m. | Flash flood warning in Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties until 2:45 p.m. 

8:40 a.m. | Major flooding on I-85 southbound near Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Gwinnett County.

8:25 a.m. | Tornado warning for Morgan, Oconee and Walton counties until 9 a.m. 

7:55 a.m. | Reports of a tree down in Roswell along Houze Road in Roswell near Hembree Springs. 

7:50 a.m. | South Main Street is closed in Dallas, Ga. between West Foster and First Avenue due to flooding. 

7:40 a.m. | The Troup County Sheriff's Office says there are trees down along Norwood at the county line, Gray Hill School Road at Jim Turner Road. and Mooty Bridge Road at Cameron Mill Road.

7:20 a.m. | A tornado warning has been issued for Johnson, Laurens and Washington counties until 7:45 a.m. This is to the east of the metro moving toward Augusta. 

7 a.m. | All lanes blocked at North Druid Hills Road at East Roxboro Road due to a tree in the roadway.

6:40 a.m. | The National Weather Service has expired the tornado warnings for Greene, Morgan and Oconee counties. 

6:25 a.m. | A tornado warning is in effect for Baldwin, Jones and Wilinkson counties until 7:15 a.m.

6:20 a.m. | A tornado warning is in effect for Greene, Morgan and Oconee counties until 7 a.m.

6 a.m. | Our crews are seeing trees down in the roadway in Luthersville in Meriwether County.

5:49 a.m. | A tornado warning has been issued for Twiggs and Wilkinson counties until 6:15 a.m. This is in the Macon area. 

4:45 a.m. | A tornado warning has been issued for Coweta, Heard, Meriwether and Troup counties until 5:15 a.m.
