ATLANTA — We just can't catch a break, another weekend with high chances of showers and storms.
Like last weekend it won't be a washout with constant rainfall, but there will be showers and storms around every single day.
Expecting an overall dry day with only a 30% chance of rain for an isolated shower or storm in the afternoon and evening.
Rain chances increase up to 60% Saturday with the best chance of rain between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.
A few showers and storms will still be around after 9 p.m. into early Sunday morning but the coverage of rainfall will diminish with time. Some storms may produce 40-60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
The front that has kept rain chances around all weekend will finally move through Sunday, so if you miss the rainfall Friday and Saturday, it's likely you get wet Sunday as a large area of showers and storms moves through.
Rain showers may start as early as 6 a.m. lasting until around 9 p.m.
This line of storms may also produce severe weather with damaging wind gusts, 1" hail, and a brief tornado.
Rainfall amounts will be highest across north Georgia where generally 2-3" of rainfall are possible, isolated spots of 4" are not out of the question.
Rainfall amounts drop off into central Georgia.
Make sure you have an alternate plan for any outdoor activities!
