ATLANTA - The pollen count for today is 5098, which is the highest in three years, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.

The National Allergy Bureau (NAB) states that the 'high' range for tree pollen begins at 90 and 'extremely high' at 1,499. This is the highest pollen count since 2015.

Another fun fact: pollen counts hit the 9000 range back in 2012 - so it could be worse.

Atlanta Allergy and Asthma reports that the top trees contributing to this high count are oak, pine, mulberry, hackberry and willow.

A contributing factor to the high pollen count is also the warmer temperatures, which we will be experiencing for the rest of the week.
