Rain continues to move through Georgia on Friday and will be likely over the weekend.
Gulf moisture has started to shift northward bringing more humid and rainy conditions. As a result, the Storm Prediction Center has placed most of the Southeastern states -- including most of the state of Georgia -- under a Marginal Risk area for severe weather for Friday afternoon and evening.

Weekend severe weather - June 7-9, 2019
4:07 PM | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for portions of Meriwether, Marion, Upson, Talbot and Taylor counties until 4:45 pm.
At 4:07, severe thunderstorms were reported along a line from near Flint Hill to Geneva to near Brantley, moving northeast at 40 mph.
4:02 PM | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for portions of Dawson, Forsyth, Hall and Lumpkin counties until 4:30 pm.
At 4:02 pm, a severe thunderstorm was located over Coal Mountain, or near Cumming, moving east at 35 mph.
2:14 PM | A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the following counties.
