LIVE UPDATES: Severe weather threatens North Georgia

We could see some severe weather on Monday. Here are the latest updates.

North Georgia is under the threat of severe weather on Monday afternoon and into the evening. That could mean severe thunderstorms that include damaging winds, heavy rain and lightning. Tornadoes and hail cannot be ruled out.

2:39PM -- A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for these counties until 10PM: Burke; Columbia; Elbert; Lincoln; McDuffie; Richmond.

A Watch indicates that conditions are favorable for severe weather. These are often issued before a warning.
