Severe Thunderstorm Warnings moves into north Georgia

ATLANTA — Monday afternoon is bringing with it a chance for severe weather in the evening hours.

Monday brought with it a 30 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.

MONDAY, JUNE 29, 2020

5:35 p.m. | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Catoosa, Murray and Whitfield until 6 p.m. 

5:25 p.m. | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Chattooga and Walker counties until 5:45 p.m. The storm is capable of winds of up to 60 mph and hail of up to three-quarters of an inch.

5:15 p.m. | There are reports in Summerville, Georgia - Chattooga County - of thunderstorm wind damage including a tree down in a back yard near James Street.

5:09 p.m. | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Catoosa, Murray and Whitfield counties until 6 p.m. The storms are capable of winds up to 60 mph and hail of up to an inch.

4:59 p.m. | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Chattooga and Walker counties until 5:45 p.m. The storms are capable of 60 mph winds and hail of up to an inch in diameter.
