
Now, the amusement park, which had parts of its roller coasters submerged in flood water on Tuesday, plans to open as scheduled this Saturday at 10 AM.
The water has mostly receded, and crews have spent the past few days hosing down the paths, lifting debris out of the water, and preparing the park to look mostly like it did before the flood.
Inspectors have also spent considerable time checking out the rollercoasters themselves, mainly making sure the rides are safe to be operated. This Six Flags location has been through several floods before; an official tells 11Alive the rollercoasters are built to easily withstand the type of flooding seen this week.
