Police took a third suspect into custody after a high-speed police chase on I-20 in Douglas County on Wed., Jan. 8, 2014
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities in Douglas County had three men in custody after a high speed chase on Interstate 20 Wednesday afternoon.
Douglas County Chief Deputy Stan Copeland said the chase began after an AT&T store on Thornton Road was robbed. He said the three suspects were in a red Nissan Maxima with Texas license plates.

The suspects were spotted on I-20 westbound by Douglasville Police, who began pursuit. The chase ended along I-20 westbound near Tyson Road. Two of the suspects were taken into custody. A third escaped into a wooded area near the interstate, and was arrested a short time later.
