Film project coming to Lawrenceville, parking lot closures announced

A city representative says the project will be in the area filming on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — There's more than 35 film and television projects currently in production across the state of Georgia. One of those projects has forced the city of Lawrenceville to announce some parking lot closures for Tuesday as a result of filming taking place.

According to a Lawrenceville city representative, "A film project will be in the Greater Lawrenceville Area on Tuesday, 11/12/2019, and using the gravel parking lot at 168 Jackson Street for crew parking.”

The memo continues, “NO ROADS WILL BE CLOSED in the downtown and no actual filming will be occurring in the downtown vicinity."

Officials have not indicated which television or film production will be in the area.

Below are more parking instructions issued in the memo: 

Please plan to park in any of our other free public parking locations, including:

1) The Lawn parking lot

2) The Parking Deck

3) The Square (and parallel spaces down Clayton Street)

4) The Pike/Culver Street Lot -or-

5) The Public parking lot adjacent to “Laundry Events” up on Perry Street.
