CUMMING, Ga. — Still in its first year of business, Halcyon is having to adapt to the many changes brought about by the novel coronavirus.
“During these unprecedented times, we are remaining dedicated to our Forsyth County neighbors as well as our Halcyon retailers, restaurants, and office tenants,” developer Phil Mays said. “Several of the Halcyon restaurants continue to serve the community by curbside pickup and delivery, and our retailers are keeping their stores updated and available through online sales.”
Another change at Halcyon is the recent opening of the Big Creek Greenway connector.
“Rather than having to cross Ronald Reagan Parkway from Halcyon to access the trailhead, the tunnel connecting the two, which runs under Ronald Reagan Parkway, is now complete,” Mays said. “That provides a great opportunity for neighbors to walk to Halcyon to pick up takeout orders safely.”
Like many other developments in the area, Halcyon is trying to keep money coming in through these uncertain times. However, Mays said they are also trying to help others.
“We know that a lot of people have been affected by this widespread pandemic, and we want to give back as best we can,” he said. “The Place of Forsyth, a local nonprofit that serves residents of Forsyth County, is in need of food. So we're hosting a food drive onsite to support families in need.”
