Will Packer set to produce Wendy Williams biopic

Packer is the blockbuster producer of "Girls Trip", the "Ride Along" franchise, and ten movies that have opened No. 1 at the U.S. box office.

Atlanta’s very own super producer Will Packer will bring Wendy Williams’s story to the small screen!

The New York Daily News reports his production company will produce Wendy Williams' first ever biopic titled “How You Doin” and will air on Lifetime.

Packer is the blockbuster producer of "Girls Trip," the "Ride Along" franchise, and ten movies that have opened No. 1 at the U.S. box office, including "Night School," "No Good Deed," and "Think Like a Man."

The authorized film will showcase the highs and lows Williams has experienced throughout the years.

The daytime talkshow host has been nominated for multiple daytime Emmy awards, has memorabilia in the Smithsonian Museum, and is broadcast in 53 countries.

Prior to achieving success in daytime television, Wendy built a devoted fan base throughout a successful 23-year career in radio, with “The Wendy Williams Experience,” being a top-rated daily radio show. Syndicated nationally, it aired on WBLS in New York and was listened to by an audience of more than 12 million people

Earlier this year, Williams revealed that she was living in a "sober house" because of addiction struggles.

She says she has been addicted to cocaine in the past and never sought treatment.

Williams returned to her talk show earlier this month for the first time since December, saying she was off because of continued thyroid issues associated with Graves' disease.

Production goes down this fall.
