Shelter holding 'Stuff the Van' donation drive for abused women, children

The items are needed to help victims of domestic violence and their children.

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A shelter for abused women and children is filling it's vans Friday afternoon.

The Forsyth County Family Haven is partnering with Lakeside Middle School in Cunning on Friday to fill a thrift store van with donated canned goods and supply items.

Those items are needed to help victims of domestic violence and their children.

The "Stuff the Van" event will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the shelter's thrift store located at 598 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Cumming.

In 2016, 11Alive reported that the shelter was raising money to increase security at the facility.
