New documents show the passenger's perspective during shooting spree

New warrants obtained by 11Alive showed Callaway's girlfriend told police she was in the car with him just after midnight on Thursday and saw him "cut two vehicles off and shot at them."

Mikeal Callaway wasn't alone the night police say he opened fire on random drivers.

New warrants obtained by 11Alive showed Callaway's girlfriend told police she was in the car with him just after midnight on Thursday and saw him "cut two vehicles off and shot at them."

Callaway has been charged with murder after Dekalb County Police said he pulled up next to Nick Bankston and shot and killed him. Bankston's pregnant fiancé and child were still in the car.

Atlanta Police said Callaway's girlfriend appears to be an unwilling participant and has been released from custody.

"At this time we believe he acted alone," said Atlanta Police Maj. Rick Mason.

Investigative documents show police used GPS to track down the suspect in a stolen silver Infinity SUV. The manufacturer turned on the GPS once contacted by police.

That led investigators to the SUV on Constitution Ave in southeast Atlanta.

"It was spray painted by hand early that morning," said Mason, "there was evidence of black spray paint cans in the area."

A gun found in the SUV is being tested to determine if that was the weapon used in the serial shooting spree.
