Police looking for woman who robbed Vinings SunTrust bank

Police said a woman walked into a SunTrust Bank branch in Vinings on Tuesday afternoon and handed a teller a note demanding money.
Cobb County Police are looking for a woman they said robbed a SunTrust Bank branch in Vinings on Tuesday, December 12.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County Police said they are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the SunTrust Bank branch in the 4300 block of Paces Ferry Road in Vinings.

Police said a woman entered the branch and handed the teller a note demanding money. After she received an undisclosed amount of cash, she left, going southwest from the bank on foot.

The woman is described as a black female, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 inches tall and between 25 and 30 years old. She has medium complection and had slightly crooked teeth with a noticeable overbite.

She was last seen wearing a long black trench coat, white t-shirt and blue jeans. Police said she may have a wig on, or possibly a weave in her hair.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to call 770-499-3945. Tippers may also anonymously contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
