Duo of accidents in Ga. county provide stark reminder of wet road dangers

A local fire department shared both photos, taken the same day and hours apart, to remind drivers to be safe on wet roads.

GREENSBORO, Ga. -- Two powerful pictures taken with hours of each other in one county are being used as a reminder to drive carefully on wet roads.

The Greensboro Fire Department in Greene County, Ga. shared the photos on social media - the first showing a vehicle down at the bottom of a steep 70-foot embankment. That accident happened on Highway 15 on Sunday.

According to the post, as crews were returning to the station, they were sent to yet another accident, this one on I-20. The truck apparently rolled over and is shown on its roof with significant damage.

Luckily, in both cases, there were no major injuries reported. But as wet weather sets in across the state, the photos serve as a reminder of how rainy-day driving can turn ugly.
