Pilots draw hearts in the sky over metro Atlanta hospitals

The group out of Peachtree City performed the skywriting as part of the "Giving Heartfelt Thanks" mission.

ATLANTA — A group of local pilots took the opportunity to show local hospital workers that they mattered - with big messages in the sky.

The Falcon RV Squadron flew over several metro Atlanta hospitals on Friday night skywriting giant hearts over each one.

The group, based out of Peachtree City, flew over Emory and Grady Memorial and then moved on to Northside, Children's and Saint Joseph's.

The Friday night flights were part of the "Giving Heartfelt Thanks" mission which was captured by some of 11Alive's photographers as they passed over nearby hospitals.
