GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — An early morning crash involving a motorcycle left a 70-year-old man dead Monday.

According to Gwinnett County Police, officers went to Singleton Road near Thompson Parkway outside of Norcross to respond to the crash.

Officers believe Miguel Maldonado-Lemus was trying to make a right turn from a driveway when a gray Toyota Corolla was headed east on Singleton Road in the left lane.

Maldonado-Lemus turned in front of the car, causing the collision. Authorities said he was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the westbound lanes. As he was lying in the road, a Nissan Sentra headed west on Singleton struck him, police said.

Both vehicles remained at the scene; Maldonado-Lemus died from his injuries.
