POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. -- Police have identified the victim in a deadly weekend shooting in Cobb County.
The initial crime apparently happened after midnight on Saturday. That's when police were responding to reports of a person shot at 4632 Hunter Road just outside of Powder Springs, Georgia.
Police rushed to the scene but the victim, now identified as 20-year-old Rodeney Koen, had already died in the front walkway of the home.
Investigators have since arrested 19-year-old Austin Postell for the death, charging him with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Postell is being held without bond.
Police believe the shooting was the result of a fight that broke out during a house party.
While they have made the arrest, investigators are still asking anyone with information that may help the investigation to call 770-499-3945 or, for a potential reward, Greater Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
