Mobile home destroyed in fire

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within 20 minutes upon arrival.

Gwinnett County Fire responded to a mobile home fire on the 1500 block of Minnie Puckett Circle NE in Buford, Ga.

Firefighters arrived to the fire at 9:11 p.m. and found a single-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. An attack hose line was deployed and firefighters were forced to fight the fire from outside the home due to the intense heat and large flames.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within 20 minutes upon arrival.

The one resident of the home was safely outside before the fire got out of control, however, firefighters did find a deceased dog in one of the rear bedrooms.

The heat from the main fire caused some moderate exterior siding damage to a home on the left and minor blistering to the siding to the other mobile home on the right.

No humans sustained any injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
