Trooper finds 41 kilos of suspected cocaine in disabled vehicle

Value could exceed $400,000

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. -- A Georgia State trooper found a lot more than a disabled trucker when he pulled over to help the driver on I-85 on Wednesday.

When the trooper stopped to help Juan Antonio Ugalde, whose truck was stopped on the interstate near Newnan, he became suspicious.

A search of truck netted a suspicious substance which, police believe, will turn out to be more than 14 kilos of cocaine. If testing proves that, the drug stash would be worth more than $441,000, police say.

Ugalde, who is from Arizona, is facing cocaine trafficking charges. He's awaiting a court appearance in the Coweta County Jail.
