RIGHT NOW: Local fire crews race to home, find small child with second-degree burns

This is what we know so far:

DeKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A child has been taken to the hospital after a house fire in DeKalb County overnight Wednesday.

The fire happened in the 2100 block of Glendale Drive in the Candler-McAfee neighborhood of DeKalb County. Crews said the victim, a 4-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital with second-degree burns.

In total, four people were in the home when the fire began - two of them children. Only the 4-year-old was injured.

Authorities have not yet released the cause of the fire, how the child sustained his injuries or exactly what condition he is in. This is a developing story. Check back for updates as they become available.
