16-year-old girl ejected from car, dies at scene

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — A 16-year-old died after being ejected from a car in a crash Thursday afternoon.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck that happened on GA-283 east of Oxford Road in Hall County around 4:35 p.m.  Authorities said Taylor Beck died at the scene.

A 2008 Lexus headed west on GA-283 tried to pass two other vehicles on the road, according to GSP. The driver lost control and went off the roadway, hitting several trees. 

GSP said the right rear passenger, Beck, died after she was ejected. 

The 21-year-old driver, Austin Pappe, and the 38-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital. 

Charges are pending for Pappe, GSP said. The investigation is ongoing.
