Atlanta-based OshKosh recalls thousands of baby jackets

Snap can break off and pose choking hazard, company says

ATLANTA -- A popular Atlanta-based child's clothing company is recalling some of its products due to a potential choking hazard.

OshKosh has recalled 38,000 of its pink and gray Baby B'gosh quilted jackets in the U.S. and about 5,000 in Canada after three reports of a snap detaching - and one report of a child putting the detached snap in her mouth.

The products were sold at OshKosh, Bon-Ton, Kohl's, Fred Meyer and other retail and department stores across the country between August and September of 2017. They were also sold on the company's website, OshKosh.com, for between $35 and $40.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recommending that the products be taken away from children and returned to any OshKosh or Carter's store.

Those with the defective product can also contact OshKosh at 800-692-4674 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. or their website for a full refund in the form of a $34 gift card for any infant size or a $35 gift card for a toddler size.
