ATLANTA – The race to become Atlanta’s next mayor is taking center stage as part of Earth Day here in Atlanta.
The Partnership for Southern Equity is holding a town hall at the King Center from 1-3 pm in which many of the announced mayoral candidates will be attending.
The town hall is also being sponsored by the Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda in conjunction with Our Future Atlanta partners.
Organizers said the town hall will provide a platform for the candidates to present their best ideas and opinions about how they plan to address Atlanta's air and water quality; healthy food access; development impacts; parks and green infrastructure; and transit expansion.
