Now that's dedication.
The parents of Olympian Mischa Gasser have spent the last year traveling from Switzerland to South Korea by bike to watch their son compete for just a couple of seconds in the Olympics.
They traveled 10,000 miles, documenting their trip on a blog and on Instagram along the way. They left Switzerland in February of 2017, and according to their travel logs, they arrived in PyeongChang around Feb. 13, 2018
“My dad is crazy,” Gassar told Yahoo! Sports after qualifying for for the men's Aerials.
The couple traveled through 20 different countries, according to Yahoo!. Some nights, they set up a tent to sleep in while others they found hotels.
There were a few shortcuts. They couldn't bike through North Korea, and they struggled to get in and out of China and had to take a train, according to one of the Instagram posts.
