ATLANTA — One person is dead and another is injured from a shooting in Atlanta on Sunday evening, police said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, at just before 6 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW in reference to several people shot.
When officers arrived, they found two men who had apparent gunshot wounds. One was a 31-year-old who was alert and was sent to the hospital. The other was a 44-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the deceased as Loquez B. Bell.
APD said investigators with its homicide unit responded to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and that the investigation is ongoing.
