BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — A lane is open, but others are closed following a serious crash on Interstate 75 in Bartow County due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and box truck, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation on Friday morning.
GDOT said crews were called out around 6 a.m. on Friday following a crash on I-75 in the southbound lanes past Glade Road CR 633 near Highway 92. The 11Alive Skytracker is on the scene, and medical helicopters can be seen assisting. A box truck, tractor trailer and another car are heavily damaged.
Roads were expected to be cleared by 6:32 a.m. but are still closed. GDOT has not updated its end time. Georgia State Patrol said those involved had serious injuries; one person was entrapped in a car.
11Alive Traffic Expert Crash Clark said to use Highway 41 or Cobb Parkway to get around the crash. Those leaving home now take Cobb Parkway to Highway 92 and head east back to I-75.
