Atlanta teens become youngest duo ever to claim finalist spot on ‘The Voice’

Hello Sunday, a singing duo, consists of 14-year-old’s Chelsea and Myla.

ATLANTA — Two teenagers from Atlanta, Georgia are singing their hearts out in front of artists they may have spent their entire lives admiring.

Hello Sunday, a singing duo, consists of 14-year-old’s Chelsea and Myla. They made it through the latest round of Top 20 finals on NBC’s “The Voice”.

The duo performed in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani for their chance at a spot in the Top 13.

According to NBC, "Chelsea and Myla both grew up singing in school showcases. They met two years ago at a performing arts camp and were paired together because they were the youngest. After hearing how well their voices blended, they decided to officially become a duo."

They attended an artist development camp to sharpen their skills, and after posting some music videos online, they started getting requests to sing at local events.

They enjoy using their music to spread positivity and are making history on "The Voice" as the youngest duo ever.

They got the opportunity of a lifetime on the show to meet pop superstar Taylor Swift.

“I was just so happy. My facial expressions were like [drops jaw] and she’s so tall," Chelsea described. "I was just like, 'hi!' It was nerve-wrecking, but it was also exciting to meet someone that I’ve looked up to for a long time."

“When I first walked in and I saw Taylor standing there I kind just froze. Like, I couldn’t believe we were meeting Taylor Swift,” Myla added.

The duo is not the only Atlanta residents who have competed on the show this season. Marietta’s Alex Guthrie also made it to this week’s finals before heading home.
