A community-wide search continued Friday for a missing 57-year-old man with mental disabilities in DeKalb County.

James "Bud" King was last seen on Feb. 26 leaving the Applebee's at 4353 Lawrenceville Highway, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

But on Friday, a Mattie's Call was issued for King, and his family released new details regarding their loved one's disappearance.

His family said that MARTA Police detectives reviewed surveillance footage from where he got on a bus in Tucker last Saturday night. They saw that he fell asleep and missed his stop, but the driver kicked him off at the Kensington bus station, which was the end of the line.

King was then spotted hopping onto the next bus trying to get back home, but he once again fell asleep and missed his stop.

The MARTA bus driver kicked him off in front of the Texaco at 1525 Mountain Industrial Boulevard in Tucker. The family said they drove to the Texaco, but the gas station does not have cameras to watch. A family member said they then walked across the street to the Speedway at 5448 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue.

The clerk said they were working there at midnight on Sunday when King walked in and asked if they were able to give him a beer. After they told him no, he left, his family said. The Speedway manager plans on meeting with King's nephew at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning to show him the surveillance footage that covers the entire perimeter of the gas station.

According to a Facebook post by the department, King is 5-foot-8 and weighs 200 pounds with brown eyes and grey hair.

He was last seen wearing either a gray or maroon jacket with khaki pants and black/white shoes, DKPD said.

"If you see him call 911 or SVU at 770-724-7710. #WeAreDKPD," the department posted.
