The Peach Drop has a new home this year. The city of Atlanta is expecting everyone to enjoy the celebration's new location.
The peach will drop from Atlanta's oldest standing skyscraper, the 120-year-old Flatiron Building. However, crowds are expected to gather at Woodruff Park.
Where do I get in to see the Peach Drop?
Onlookers will be able to access the park though entrances located on Auburn Avenue and Park Place, Edgewood Avenue and Park Place, Peachtree Street and Edgewood Avenue and Peachtree Street and Walton Street.
What time does the Peach Drop start?
Gates to the New Year's Eve festivities open at 5:30 p.m. and entertainment begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
Who is performing at the Peach Drop?
Officials announced Dec. 28 that Atlanta-based rapper Jeezy, R&B group TLC and singer-actor Tyrese will perform at the event.
What can I bring to the Peach Drop?
Atlanta Police are making preparations for security at the location, and are asking attendees to be prepared for bag searches at all access points. A clear bag policy will also be in place. No outside food or alcohol will be allowed inside the area.

How can I get to the Peach Drop?
Attendees are encouraged to take MARTA or rideshare services to the event, due to street closures and high traffic.
Atlanta Police will have closures at Peachtree and Ellis Streets to the north of the area and Peachtree Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the south.
If attendees take MARTA, the closest stops to Woodruff Park are the Peachtree Center Transit stop off the Gold and Red lines and the Five Points stop, which services all MARTA lines.
For those who choose to drive to the event, Atlanta Police are warning that they make sure to park in metered spaces or legitimate pay parking lots. Parking violators will be towed. Also, be sure to remove any valuables from the car to avoid break-ins.
