ATLANTA -- Many die-hard comic book fans have been counting down the days in anticipation until the public premiere of Marvel's 'Black Panther' movie.
Thursday night provided many different looks to celebrate the release, ranging from impromptu cosplay red carpet rollouts to full on buffets lined up at the front of the theater.
Unfortunately, for moviegoers at Regal's Atlantic Station location, the anticipation lasted slightly longer past the expected movie start time.
Aiight so this happened at Atlantic Station. They played 50 shades instead of black panther pic.twitter.com/5WhvX270Y5

According to the twitter user @ChefWaites, the theater filled with Black Panther fans sat through about 10 minutes of '50 Shades Freed' before management was able to switch the films.
Regal Cinemas has not responded to our inquiry into the switch up.
