Gerard Butler surprises Atlanta moviegoers during screening

Butler answered a few questions about the movie and posed with some fans.

ATLANTA — Actor Gerard Butler took some time off-set filming “Greenland” throughout Georgia to surprise a group of moviegoers at Atlantic Regal Station.

During a screening for his latest film, “Angel Has Fallen” the star came out as the credits began rolling at the film’s end.

Butler answered a few questions about the movie and posed with some fans.

“Angel Has Fallen” follows an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), as his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody.

After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the president. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger.

Butler is currently filming the upcoming disaster thriller “Greenland” throughout parts of Atlanta. The plot follows a family’s fight for survival after a cataclysmic natural disaster.
