LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Man's best friend is getting all the credit for saving his homeless owner's life.
While his owner was sleeping, Sonny protected his owner from several snake bites.
The snake bit Sonny multiple times and he became very sick. The dog was so sick he couldn't even stand after the attack.
Thanks to a doctor at the Lagrange Animal Hospital, Sonny was able to get the treatment he needed for free.
People in the community are also stepping up to raise money to save Sonny. Now people online are also rallying behind Sonny, wishing him a speedy recovery.
