ATLANTA — One man is dead and another injured after a shooting in Atlanta late Friday night.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Middleton Road - an address in West Atlanta. The preliminary investigation suggests that officers arrived to find two men who had been shot. One victim had a gunshot wound to the neck and the other a wound to the leg.

Both were taken to Grady where the man with the neck wound died. Investigators are still working to understand the circumstances of the shooting.

Police haven't released the names of the two victims or if a third party was responsible for the gunfire. This is a developing story. Check back for updates as they become available.
