ATHENS, Ga. — One person is dead and another injured after a shooting in Athens late Wednesday night, law enforcement authorities said.
According to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Huntington Road around 11 p.m.
Police found 25-year-old Nigel Turner dead from a gunshot wound at the scene. A second victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover.
It is unclear if authorities are searching for a suspect. No other details were released.
