NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Are you an armchair detective? An amateur sleuth with a thirst for solving crime? You might want to put a weekend trip to Nashville on your calendar and attend the second annual CrimeCon--featuring all things true crime.

CrimeCon, a three-day weekend-long true crime event from May 4-6, is slated to bring the crime genre to life through immersive experiences, expert discussions and some of the best podcasters.

Produced by Red Seat Ventures, the convention is centered around those who know that true crime is more than just catchy headlines. Since the inaugural event in 2017, CrimeCon has brought thousands of fans, experts and content creators together for an educational, hands-on experience, including conversations with the experts themselves.

This year’s theme is, “What’s Your Motive?” and will feature an expansive lineup from seven major networks, including four correspondents from HLN, “48 Hours” and NBC’s “Dateline.”

Guests will hear from and engage with some of the world’s leading crime experts, educators and personalities, including: CrimeOnline.com’s Nancy Grace, Oxygen’s "Cold Justice" host, Kelly Siegler, host of HLN’s “Crime & Justice,” Ashleigh Banfield, “48 Hours” correspondent, Erin Moriarty, former FBI special agent and “Criminal Minds” producer, Jim Clemente, and Gemma Hoskins, who has dedicated her retirement to solving two Baltimore-area cold cases featured in the 2017 Netflix documentary, “The Keepers.”

“Dateline” correspondents Keith Morrison, Andrea Canning, Josh Mankiewicz and Dennis Murphy will attend a panel and Q&A, as well as a fan meet-and-greet.

True crime fans can also participate in interactive experiences, including a sketch artist challenge and wine and crime--as well as meet true crime podcasters, including the hosts of Oxygen’s “Martinis & Murder” on CrimeCon’s Podcast Row.

Crime buffs staying at the Gaylord Opryland during the event are invited to participate in an immersive weekend-long murder mystery game, where clues are anywhere and everywhere.

“We are excited to build on the momentum of last year’s inaugural CrimeCon in Indianapolis by bringing back many of the fan favorites, and adding even more celebrity guests, experts, podcasters and hands-on experiences to the lineup,” said Kevin Balfe, partner at Red Seat Ventures and executive producer of the event.
