ATLANTA — Atlanta Police Department is investigating after a woman was found dead near a recreation center on Saturday morning.
A call came in around 5 a.m. stating a person was injured at 3691 Collier Drive in northwest Atlanta, which, according to Google Maps, is the address for the Collier Park Recreation Center.
The woman was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office as 30-year-old Ashley Chappell. The medical examiner did not immediately know if foul play was involved.
When officers arrived, a woman was found dead in the area. Police did not specify where the body was found and have not provided any further information on the incident.
