DeKalb police: Victim dies before giving details on shooter

The gun still next to him, the victim said he was shot by another person but didn't provide any other information. He ultimately died at the hospital.

DeKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Investigators said a victim was unwilling - or unable - to tell police who shot him on Wednesday. Now that victim has died and his shooting is being investigated as a possible murder.

Police responded to the 500 block of Creste Drive in far west DeKalb just north of I-20 around 5:30 p.m. There, they found a 19-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the stomach. The gun still next to him, the victim said he was shot by another person but didn't provide any other information.

Sadly, even though the teen was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, he died from his injuries.

With no further information from the victim and no witnesses found, police still don't have a description of the suspect. For now, detectives are collecting evidence from the scene as police hope someone with information will come forward.
